The Poz Home Center is open to all HIV positive people in Bangkok and Thailand but we have a particular focus on men who have sex with men (MSM) living with HIV, transgender people (TG) living with HIV and MSM/TG sex workers living with HIV. The Poz Home Center mission is to provide a safe place where a sense of ‘family’ and friendship between people living with HIV can be nurtured and health and wellbeing can be sustained in the lives of people with HIV. We do this by facilitating sharing between people with HIV that is supportive and productive. We provide individual peer-support, group support, case coordination as well as education and drop-in services. We work across private and government health and welfare systems and services to facilitate easier access to these services for MSM and TG living with HIV. A core aim for us is to collect and disseminate information that can enable people with HIV to take care of their health, exercise their right to health and their right to utilize health and welfare services in Thailand.

Our focus on MSM and TG living with HIV and MSM/TG sex workers living with HIV has emerged because we find these groups have particular difficulty accessing services and because, in Bangkok, there are very high numbers of MSM and TG living with HIV while, at the same time, there are few community-based and peer-based services to assist them.
